My time in hospitality began at Son’s Getaways, a glamping resort company with six diverse locations. Over the years, I had the privilege of managing nearly all of them — from 18-acre retreats to 150-acre properties, from intimate 25-cabin hideaways to full-scale resorts with over 150 cabins.
At Son’s, I truly did it all: reservations, guest sales, housekeeping, groundskeeping, and full-scale team management. Through that hands-on experience, I not only learned what makes a property thrive — I also learned what doesn’t. I’ve seen what makes a memorable experience for guests, and I’ve also heard their biggest complaints firsthand. That knowledge helps me anticipate problems before they happen and focus on the details that matter most — from a smooth check-in to a perfectly maintained cabin — turning ordinary stays into lasting memories.t unforgettable experiences.
